19 Supporters Detained After AFCON 2025 Final in Rabat

Moroccan police have placed 18 Senegalese supporters and one Algerian supporter in custody following the conclusion of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final.
According to reports by Le Parisien, the arrests were made on the orders of the Rabat Court of First Instance in the aftermath of the final at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
The 18 Senegalese supporters are suspected of engaging in acts of hooliganism inside the stadium, while the Algerian supporter is accused of inciting disorder during the same incident.
Security agencies are said to have intervened promptly to restore calm, preventing the situation from escalating further. Investigations into the disturbances are ongoing as judicial proceedings take their course.
