2023 Afcon qualifier: Super Eagles to open camp in Lagos on June 11

The Nigeria senior national team will camp in Lagos as they prepare for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Super Eagles will trade tackles with Sierra Leone in a previewed tough encounter.
The Afcon qualifying encounter which marks the MatchDay five of the qualifying series is scheduled to take place at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, Monrovia.
Jose Peseiro’s side will open camp on June 11 and will use the Mobolaji Johnson Arena to train because it has similar turf texture to the stadium in Monrovia.
This will be the first time that the Leone Stars will be playing in front of their home fans as their qualifiers matches in the have been played away from Sierra Leone due to their stadium not meeting CAF standard.
Topping group A with nine points, a point will be enough to see the Super Eagles book a place at the 2024 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.
The Leone Stars seat on the third position with five points from four matches and they need a win to brighten their appearance at the Africa showpiece.
