2023 Afconq: Jose Peseiro relishes difficult Nigeria clash with Sierra Leone in Monrovia

Nigeria chief coach, Jose Peseiro has urged his team to be at their optimal best against Sierra Leone on Sunday.

The Super Eagles will square up against the Leone Stars at the SKD Stadium in Liberia and will be needing at least a draw to secure their participation at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.

The Portuguese tactician admitted the encounter with the Leone Stars will be a difficult one as he urges the Super Eagles players to remain committed and play collectively to get the job done in Liberia.

“It will be a difficult game. In the last three matches against Sierra Leone, we drew two and only won the last meeting last year in Abuja,” Peseiro told media.

“Sierra Leone are a good team and they only beat us to stand a chance of qualifying for the AFCON.

“We, therefore, have to be at our best organization and commitment and play a collective game against them.”
