2023 FIFAWWC: Super Falcons will do Nigerians proud’ – Onome Ebi vows

Captain of Nigeria senior women’s national team, Ebi Onome has reassured Nigerians that the team are not going to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to make up numbers.
The Super Falcons as the team is also called will be playing against hosts, Australia, Canada and Ireland at the mundial jointly hosted by the Aussies and New Zealand.
On Friday, Onome who was speaking at a reception organized by the Australian High Commission in Abuja, reiterated the team’s readiness to perform beyond expectations at the tournament.
“I want to tell Nigerians that we are going to Australia, not just to participate, but to surpass our record in the last outing. I believe we will make Nigerians proud,” she said.
The team is expected to have a 15-day training period in Australia before settling down for the competition proper.
