Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national start will commence their campaign at the maiden West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) U-17 Girls Cup against Niger Republic.

The Group B opener is scheduled for the Centre Prampram, Accra on December 12, 2024.

It will be the second game of the day starting by 18:00 after host, Ghana would have faced Benin Republic in the opening match.

On December 16, Bankole Olowookere’s side will wrap up their group game against Cote d’Ivoire by 15:00.

Nigeria and Ghana are favorites ahead of the tournament based on their performance at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

Both teams have won bronze medals at the World Cup, Africa’s best performance so far at the global Mundial.

The 2024 WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup will take place from December 12 to 22, 2024, in Accra, Ghana.

A few years ago, Ghana hosted and won the first-ever edition of the WAFU-B U-20 Girls Cup.
