2025 AFCON Qualifier: Taiwo Awoniyi calls on Nigerians for support

Nigeria international Taiwo Awoniyi has called on fans to come out in full force to support the national team in their upcoming match in Uyo.
The Super Eagles are set to begin their AFCON qualifiers against neighboring Benin Republic on Saturday, August 7, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Awoniyi expressed confidence in the players’ ability to secure a crucial victory and urged Nigerians to rally behind the team as they face the Squirrels.
“Football is our profession and our passion,” Awoniyi said, as reported by AdemolaVictor TV.
“We are committed to doing our part on the pitch, and we encourage all Nigerians to come out and support us. Your backing is vital to our success.”
