3SC general manager Dimeji Lawal Chief laments over Remo Stars loss

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) General Manager (GM), Dimeji Lawal has described the Ibadan-based side’s 3-0 loss to Remo Stars as a painful in Eket on Friday.
Goals from Samuel Anakwe, Boniface Nwaeze, and Anthony Okpe ensured the Sky Blue Stars condemned the Oluyole Warriors to one of their heaviest defeats in the South West derby at the Naija Super Eight zonal playoffs.
The former Super Eagles winger said the result failed to match the hard work of the team.
“It’s really a bad day for us,” the ex-Real Madrid B team star wrote on his Twitter handle.
“The result failed to match the team’s effort. We will continue to work harder to get the best for the new season.”
The result means Gbenga Ogunbote’s side has crashed out of the Naija Super Eight and also extended the Oluyole Warrior’s winless streak over its South West neighbours to nine games.
Both sides met twice last season in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with the Ikenne-based side picking a 2-0 win at home. The return leg in Ibadan ended in a 1-1 draw.
With a straight league format expected next season, both sides will rekindle their rivalry in the league.
