NPFL: Fidelis Ilechukwu not getting carried away by Enugu Rangers’ winning streak

Fidelis Ilechukwu, Technical Adviser of Enugu Rangers has demanded extra focus and commitment from his players to extend sustain their impressive run in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The Flying Antelopes extended their unbeaten runs to five games following their 2-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes in the Matchday 23 clash decided at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Sunday.
Captain Chidiebere Nwobodo and Godwin Obaje scored the goals in first half to also stretched the club’s clean sheet to five games and an elated Ilechukwu lauded his players for the deserved victory and taking their chances.
“It was a good game with a great result that we worked for,” Ilechukwu told Rangers’ media in Kaduna.
“Our opponent today did their best but was not too lucky as we made use of two of the opportunities created while they could not take theirs.
“We are on a five-match winning run and must work harder to maintain the level we are currently operating.”
The win, a second on the bounce away for the ‘Flying Antelopes’, takes the team to third position on the log with 40 points from 23 matches and will next trade tackles with Kwara United in an encounter at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on Sunday.
