Victory Boniface trolls Ghana following historic Bundesliga title with Bayer Leverkusen

In the midst of celebrating Bayer Leverkusen’s historic Bundesliga triumph, Nigerian forward Victor Boniface injected a playful touch by aiming a light-hearted dig at Ghanaian players and fans.
Leverkusen’s ascent to the top of German football marked a monumental achievement, breaking Bayern Munich’s 11-year stranglehold on the league title.
With five matches remaining in the season, Leverkusen’s unbeaten streak of 29 league games, including 25 wins and four draws, underscored their dominance, boasting the second-best attack and best defense in the division with 74 goals scored and only 19 conceded.
Amidst this triumph, the 23-year-old Boniface, who contributed 11 goals and 9 assists in 18 league games, seized the opportunity to make his mark, scoring the opening goal and providing an assist in his first start since recovering from a groin surgery that sidelined him since January.
Known for his playful antics on social media and his penchant for teasing Ghanaian counterparts, Boniface’s humorous jabs come with an underlying camaraderie, reflecting his affection for his West African brethren.
Recall his imitation of Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus’ signature celebration during a Europa League clash, showcasing his playful spirit while maintaining a sense of friendly competition.
In a lively exchange with Oma Akatugba, Boniface, speaking in Pidgin English, playfully called for a banter with Ghanaians, emphasizing the brotherly bond between the two nations.
“Na pidgin we go use to talk this one, we and Ghanians we be brothers naa but we need to cook each other na,” he quipped, inviting friendly banter amidst the celebrations.
As Leverkusen sets its sights on further success in the DFB-Pokal and UEFA Europa League, Boniface’s infectious enthusiasm and spirited banter serve as a reminder of the joy and camaraderie that permeates the world of football, transcending rivalries and borders.
