NPFL: Kabir Dogo blames profligacy to Nasarawa United’s defeat against Rangers

Technical Adviser of Nasarawa United, Kabir Dogo has lamented his team’s unfortunate defeat against Enugu Rangers on Sunday.
Two second half goals from Godwin Obaje condemned Dogo’s side to a 2-0 loss against their hosts in the Matchday 10 of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL encounter.
It was the match that saw both teams canceled each other out in the first half.
However, Rangers’ persistent paid off with two quick goals while Nasarawa were left to rue their missed opportunities.
A livid Dogo who also attributed the defeat to individual errors however promised a better scoring conversion in their subsequent games.
“We ensured we kept the scoreline at par in the first-half, and we dominated a larger chunk of the second half,” he told Nasarawa United media.
“We just failed to convert our chances. We couldn’t maintain our intensity, and individual errors cost us the game today as Rangers utilized their opportunities.
“We will work on our consistency and look to bounce back in our next match.”
The defeat has seen the Solid Miners drop to 14th place with 12 points from opening 10 games.
They will be hosting Kwara United in a North-Central derby on Sunday at the Lafia City Stadium by 4pm.
