The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has sent their congratulatory message to Remo Stars FC after winning the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.

The Sky Blue Stars were crowned the league champions for the 2024/25 season on home soil after a 4-1 win over Ikorodu City on Matchday 37.

In a letter by FIFA President, Gianni Infantino addressed to the President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, the world football governing body praised the Sky Blue Stars for their constant efforts which culminated into clinching the league title for the first time.

“By means of this letter, am pleased to congratulate the new champions of Nigeria, Remo Stars FC” the letter read.

“While thanking you and your Federation for your continuous support, work, and dedication for the
development of football in your country, I look forward, dear President, to seeing you again soon.
Congratulations to each and every member of the team and of the cub for this great achievement.

“Their constant efforts and results throughout the season have paid off, resulting in this important title.”

After consecutive second place finish in the last two season, the Ikenne based side finally claimed their first ever NPFL title this time around.

They will represent Nigeria at the 2024/25 CAF Champions League, their fourth straight campaign on the continent.
