Katsina United aim for NPFL title and continental spot under Azeez Audu

Katsina United technical adviser Azeez Audu has set his sights on leading the club to a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title and a continental competition berth in the 2025–26 season.
To meet these ambitious targets, Katsina United are expected to reinforce their squad ahead of the new campaign. Club management has already begun strategic planning to strengthen key areas of the team.
Speaking after a challenging 2024–25 campaign in which the Chanji Boys finished 15th with 50 points, Audu expressed determination to steer the club toward a historic turnaround.
“We want to fight for the league title and secure a continental ticket next season,” he said.
“I’ve said it before—I want to make history with this club. One of my goals is to maintain a strong home record, and I intend to build on that next season.”
The NPFL has grown increasingly competitive in recent years, with several clubs battling for the title and qualification for continental tournaments.
Katsina United’s renewed ambition reflects both the club’s growth and its long-term commitment to becoming a top-tier contender.
With Audu’s leadership and a focused rebuild, the Chanji Boys could emerge as one of the league’s surprise packages next season.
