LSFA Presents Ex-Internationals Cup Trophy to Bet9ja Foundation Founder Kunle Soname

Ahead of the highly anticipated second edition of the Lagos Ex-Internationals Cup, officials of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), led by Chairman Hajji Gafar Liameed, paid a courtesy visit to the Founder of the Bet9ja Foundation, Hon. Kunle Soname, on Friday.

The visit, held at Soname’s office, was marked by the presentation of the beautifully crafted giant Ex-Internationals Cup trophy, symbolising the growing prestige of the tournament.

During the presentation, Liameed described Hon. Soname as a major asset to Nigerian football, commending his consistent efforts in youth development and social empowerment.

The LSFA Chairman noted that Soname’s initiatives have helped curb youth restiveness and social vices while creating pathways for young people to build meaningful careers through sports.

In his response, Hon. Kunle Soname expressed appreciation to the LSFA delegation, noting that the Lagos Ex-Internationals Cup aligns seamlessly with the Bet9ja Foundation’s mission of community development and support for former national team players.

Soname further accepted the proposal to partner on the Ex-Internationals Cup and announced the appointment of a director from the Bet9ja Foundation to work closely with the Lagos FA.

According to him, the collaboration will begin with joint visits and consultations to fine-tune plans, logistics, and finalise the official kickoff schedule for the tournament.

The meeting underscores the LSFA’s commitment to strengthening corporate partnerships as part of its broader strategy to enhance football development and sustainability across Lagos State.
