Edo Queens recorded their first win of the 2026 Nigeria Women Football League Premiership Super Six Finals with an impressive 4-1 victory over FC Robo Queens on Matchday Two in Port Harcourt.
The former champions delivered a dominant display, taking control of the contest from the outset and putting themselves in a strong position in the race for the Super Six title.
Edo Queens laid the foundation for victory in the first half through a clinical performance from forward Chioma Moses, who struck twice to give her side a commanding lead. She opened the scoring in the 15th minute before doubling the advantage in the 32nd minute.
The Benin-based side continued their dominance after the restart, with Precious Oscar extending the lead in the 59th minute. Just four minutes later, Mary Mamudu added a fourth goal to put the result beyond doubt.
FC Robo Queens managed to pull a goal back late in the game when Florence Godwin Freda found the net in the 86th minute, but it was only a consolation as Edo Queens comfortably saw out the victory.
The emphatic win represents a strong response from Edo Queens following their opening-day disappointment and significantly strengthens their ambitions of challenging for the 2026 NWFL Premiership Super Six crown.
With four goals, an improved performance, and three valuable points secured, Edo Queens have reignited their title hopes as the competition gathers momentum in Port Harcourt.
