U20 Afcon: Ladan Bosso eyes World Cup ticket with Nigeria in Egypt

Head Coach of Nigeria’s U20 national team, Flying Eagles, Ladan Bosso has revealed that securing one of the tickets for the FIFA U20 World Cup will be his ultimate target at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt next year.

The Flying Eagles are paired in group A of the AFCON along side host Nation, Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique.

Bosso who expressed confidence on his team said the team will give their all to make the dream a reality.

“Our priority is to qualify for the World Cup and eventually if we do, win the tournament,” he told media.

“I know the calibre of players we have already and I believe they can do it.”

The U20 AFCON tournament with 12-team participating will get underway in February in Egypt. The four Semi-finalists at the tournament will automatically qualify for the World Cup taking place in Indonesia later in 2023.
