NPFL: Imade Osarenkhoe reveals Bendel Insurance bigger NPFL dream
By Saheed Afolabi
Bendel Insurance goal poacher, Imade Osarenkhoe has revealed the bigger Nigeria Premier Football League dream of the Benin based club this season.
Imade is the club’s leading scorer and also second on the goal scorers chart with six goals in nine matches just one behind Enyimba’s Chukwuemeka Obioma thanks to his recent winner against the People’s Elephants in Benin.
Following his incredible form in the new campaign, the excited graduate of Petroleum Engineering from University of Benin (Uniben) has reflected on his goalscoring exploits and his side’s unbeaten run.
“I feel very happy, I want to dedicate this goals to my family and teammates. It’s a collective effort because if they don’t pass the ball to me, I don’t think I can put the ball in the net,” Osarenkhoe told media.
“We had a very good preseason coupled with the fact that, our coach is a very tactically disciplined and no nonsense coach. We all work together for a particular goal which is to remain in the NPFL. So far so good, the work of an attacker is to score goals and by the grace of God I pray it should continue.
“Enyimba is a very tactically disciplined team, and a very big team. So we are just coming to the NPFL again, we had a little respect for them that was what cost a little bit nervousness in the game but I guess by the grace of God in the next game we will be able to work on our mistakes and convert our chances.
“For now the motive still remains, we take the game one at a time, when we started the league, the major goal is to remain in the NPFL so by now, as the day goes we have a bigger vision we want to remain in the league but we are aiming the top three.”
Bendel Insurance have a made a great start to the NPFL this season by taking many by surprise as they remain unbeaten in nine games and accumulating 23 points in the process.
The Benin based club finished the first stanza as NPFL group A toppers with seven wins and two draws.
