Paul Onuachu will deliver goals, assures Southampton manager Ruben Selles

Head coach of Southampton, Ruben Selles is optimistic about Paul Onuachu hitting top form for the club soon.

Onuachu is yet to find the back of the net since making his January transfer move to the Saints from Belgian side Genk as the Super Eagles forward has fired blank in four appearances for the Saints.

The 28 year old had a terrific goal scoring form in the Beligum Pro League for Genk as he scored 16 goals in 18 matches before switching to the English Premier League.

However, Southampton manager, Selles has thrown his defense to Onuachu saying he’s just new in the Premier League and believes he will find his game as the goal scoring tools will be made available for him.

“Paul Onuachu who is new in the Premier League and as soon as he arrived, we throw him into the starting XI against Wolves and Chelsea,” Selles said in a press conference.

“I think he will find his game, hopefully, he’ll find it sooner. We need to give him the tools.”

The Saints survival dream came alive as they defeated Leicester City with a lone goal. They travel to the city of Manchester to face the Red Devils on March 12 as they hope to get a win to keep their survival dreams alive.

Southampton are swimming in relegation waters as they stay afloat with 21 points from 25 matches.
