Ola Aina: West Ham join Everton, Crystal Palace in race to sign Nigerian defender

By Wale Mustapha
Nigerian and Torino defender, Olaoluwa Aina could be heading back to English Premier League in the summer following latest interest coming from English topflight clubs.
Aina joined Torino on loan in the summer of 2018 and made the move permanent the following season.
He is now a subject of transfer interest for a couple of Premier League clubs including Everton and Crystal Palace are ready to wrestle with West Ham, who are leading the chase for the signature of Super Eagles’ full back.
Aina had almost sealed a summer move to West Ham from Serie A side, Torino on deadline day as the Italian side rejected a late seven million pounds bid from the Hammers.
It now appears that the English club will return for Aina in the summer with even a lesser bid as his contract runs out at the end of current campaign after both parties have failed to reach common ground on the new contract.
West Ham will however lock horns with other clubs in Europe as the likes of Villarreal, Lille and Werder Bremen are also monitoring the situation of 26 year old player.
