NPFL: Gbenga Ogunbote disappointed with 3SC loss to Nasarawa United

Head coach of Shooting Stars SC, Gbenga Ogunbote has expressed his disappointment in the players’ performance against Nasarawa United following a 1-0 defeat on Sunday.
Nelson Abiam’s 22nd minute strike was all the Solid Miners condemned the Oluyole Warriors to their fifth defeat of the season and keep their survival hopes alive.
Reflecting over unfortunate loss, the tactician believes the goal conceded was as a result of their carelessness, while he commended Nasarawa United for putting up a strong fight amidst their ugly campaign.
“It was a bad one, we just have a careless moment, that conceded that goal and unfortunately all other chances, we couldn’t take them,” Ogunbote said.
”Forget about the situation that they are presently on, They (Nasarawa United) are not a bad side. Sometimes you have it rough on your journey, and I think that is what happened to them.
“We will take the next game, we are going to another away and we will see what we can make out of it, it’s unfortunate we lose this game.”
Bendel Insurance will play host to Shooting Stars at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin. 3SC now have 21 points from 16 matches as they trail the least playoffs spot with four points.
