Victor Ikpeba tips Remo Stars to excel in CAF Champions League

Former Nigeria international, Victor Ikpeba has backed Remo Stars to enjoy an excellent campaign in this year’s CAF Champions League following their Nigeria Premier Football League Super Six display in Lagos.

The Sky Blue Stars tasted continental action for the first in 2022 but were eliminated in the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup amidst series of missed chances in the return leg at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.

However, the former Super Eagles star believes Remo Stars have the potential and playing quality to do well at the CAF Champions League this season, assessing the squad depth at the NPFL Super Six playoffs.

“Remo Stars have continued to show the world the quality they have in the team,” Ikpeba told Daily Post.

“I’m tipping them to do well in the CAF Champions League next season. The world can see the quality they had last season, especially in the Super Six playoffs in Lagos.”

The Sky Blue Stars will feature along side NPFL champions Enyimba in the 2023-24 CAF Champions League.
