Nigeria v Australia: Desire Oparanozie close to full fitness for Aussies test

There are high hopes in the camp of Nigeria ahead of their second group match against Australia with possibility of having their top striker, Desire Oparanozie for the duel.
The experienced striker missed the opening match against Canada which ended goalless due to fitness issues.
The Wuhan striker has returned to individual training as rest of the squad were drilled by coach Randy Waldrum and Oparanozie showed good signs in the sessions and stand a good chance to feature against the World Cup co hosts on Thursday.
Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, who had a fantastic outing against the Canadians saving a second half spot kick was allowed to stay off the training.
Oparanozie’s return could been the needed booster for the Falcons attackers who are yet to find their rhythm in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Australia captain Sam Kerr is still doubtful for the clash as she continues to nurse the injury that ruled her out of the first game against the Ireland.
