Gift Orban set for English Premier League switch amid impressive form in Belgium

By Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria forward Gift Orban has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur this summer after consistently dropping impressive performances for his Belgian club, Gent.
The Nigerian international is one of the hottest strikers in European football at the moment and several top teams have shown serious interest in snapping up the Nigerian forward.
Barcelona, Manchester United and most recently, Tottenham, have all been credited with an interest in Orban.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked in recent weeks with a move to Tottenham to replace already-departed English striker Harry Kane, who left the club to join Bayern Munich two weeks ago.
However, Fulham have also reportedly thrown their hat in the ring as they look to replace the recently departed Aleksander Mitrovic, who left to join Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.
According to Football Insider, Fulham views Orban as the perfect striker to come in and provide the goals needed for a successful season.
Orban has raised his profile from a relatively unknown £3.3m bargain Gent signed from Norwegian club Stabeak in January after an impressive 20 goals from 22 games in his first six months at the club.
This season, he has already registered six goals in six appearances across all competitions.
Gift Orban and Jordan Torunaigha were the heroes as Gent came from behind to secure a share of the spoils following a four-goal thriller at Ghelamco Arena on Sunday.
Whether any of the two London clubs will pay £30m the Buffalos placed on him remains to be seen.
