Former Nigeria International, Peter Rufai believes the Super Eagles will cope with the intrigues of competition at the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
The Super Eagles were fitted in group A with Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea and host nation, Ivory Coast and Rufai believes Nigeria have a great chance of reaching the knockout stage of AFCON from group A.
The Nigeria legend feels football has become unpredictable with its dynamism but insists Nigeria will cope with it seamlessly by making a headway in the group.
“It’s a good group for the Super Eagles and I think we have a big chance of qualifying to the next round,” Rufai was told Complete Sports.
“We know football is not what is used to be anymore. It has gone really dynamic and notwithstanding, if it’s gone dynamic, Nigeria is capable of coping with it. All the same, I think Nigeria will make a headway in that group.”
The 2024 AFCON will kickoff on January 13 and end on February 11 across six stadiums in five cities.
