Shehu Abdullahi Eagerly Embraces New Chapter with Bursaspor

In a significant transfer move, Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi has expressed his delight at joining Turkish side Bursaspor, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old bid farewell to his Cypriot side, Anorthosis Famagusta, in a memorable 3-1 triumph over Ethnikos Achnas last Saturday.

Taking to his Instagram page on Tuesday, Abdullahi shared a photo donning the Bursaspor jersey along with a concise note announcing his arrival. “It’s OFFICIAL! I’m glad to be here @bursaspor 🐊,” conveyed Abdullahi via his official account shehu.official.

The Nigerian right-back’s addition to Bursaspor’s roster is a notable development, joining compatriots Mikel Agu and William Troost Ekong at the Turkish club. This infusion of talent not only strengthens the defensive capabilities of Bursaspor but also enhances the camaraderie among the Super Eagles contingent.

Abdullahi’s departure from Anorthosis Famagusta, where he made 19 league appearances, comes on the heels of the team securing a commendable second place in the Cypriot league with 44 points from 21 games. As Abdullahi begins a new chapter with Bursaspor, football enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the impact he will bring to the Turkish club’s defensive line.

The signing marks a pivotal moment for both Abdullahi and Bursaspor, setting the stage for a promising collaboration that holds the potential to reshape the dynamics of Turkish football in the seasons to come.
