NWFL Premiership MD2 Reviews: Abia Angels and Confluence Queens pick away win

The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership match day produced exciting results doubled with heartbreaking losss to some home clubs, after Abia Angels and Confluence Queens seal away victories in Sapele and Gombe respectively on Wednesday.
Robo Queens 3-2 Sunshine Queens
The early kickoff of the day saw Robo Queens edging familiar foes Sunshine Queens 3-2 in the five goal thriller in Lagos.
Bolaji Olamide silenced the home fans to give Sunshine Queens the surprised lead in the 28th minute. Folashade Ijamilusi drew back Lagos Landladies back into the game with a great finish in the 57th minute.
Favour Nkwocha gave the Lagos Landladies a crucial lead in the 72nd minute and two minutes later, Bunmi Adenuga equalled the score line for the Akure Ladies.
Super Falcons midfielder, Esther Onyenezide popped up to score the winner for Robo Queens with 12 minutes to play.
Delta Queens 1-1 Remo Stars Ladies
Defending champions, Delta Queens were far from their best as Remo Stars Ladies forced them to a 1-1 draw at the Stephen Keshi stadium, Asaba.
Alaba Olabiyi broke the deadlock of the encounter with a swift finish in the 45th minute before the Sky Blue Ladies were brought back on level terms with a Oluwaseyi Arubo solo effort in the 67th minute.
Newly promoted side, Dannaz Ladies won their first game in the topflight football as they defeated visiting Naija Ratels 2-0 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
Delight Isaac produced a fantastic brace to give the Cedars their first win of the campaign.
Adamawa Queens 0-1 Confluence Queens
Confluence Queens stunned Adamawa Queens 1-0 to snatch an away victory in Gombe.
The Lokoja based side recorded their first win over Adamawa Queens in over five meetings courtesy of a 72nd striker from Mary Mamudu.
Rivers Angels 3-1 Edo Queens
Former NWFL Premiership champions, Rivers Angels had a tough time in grinding out a 3-1 win over Edo Queens in Port-Harcourt.
Motunrayo Ezekiel had given the Jewels of Rivers a deserved lead in the sixth minute before Edo Queens influential captain, Suliat Abideen pulled a goal back. Motunrayo was at it again with her excellent display to hang in the lead for Rivers Angels in the 74th minute and Falconets striker, Chiamaka Okechukwu ended the Benin Ladies hopes with a 83rd minute goal to seal the win.
Bayelsa Queens 2-0 Ekiti Queens
Bayelsa Queens didn’t find it easy in dispatching Ekiti Queens 2-0 at the Samson Siasia stadium, Yenagoa.
Shakirat Moshood and Blessing Illievida combined to inflict first defeat on Ekiti Queens in the NWFL Premiership.
Royal Queens 0-1 Abia Angels
Royal Queens tasted two defeats in a row as they lost to Abia Angels by a lone goal in Warri.
Charity Isaiah goal on the stroke of half time was enough to separate both sides and clinched the first away victory to the Aba ladies.
