Abia Warriors to meet Asante Kotoko as Nigerian teams get CAF Confederation Cup opponents

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the official draw for the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup preliminary stages, with fixtures set to kick off in September while Nigerian teams now know their opponents.

In one of the standout ties, Asante Kotoko (Ghana) will face Kwara United (Nigeria) in the first preliminary stage.

The winner over two legs will advance to meet Wydad Athletic Club (Morocco) in the next round.

Meanwhile, another Nigerian side, Abia Warriors will face Malian opponent, Djoliba AC in the first preliminary round.

The winner of the tie will trade tackle with either USFA (Burkina Faso) or AS Gbohloe SU (Togo) in the second preliminary round.

CAF will release further details on match venues, kick-off times, and broadcast information in due course.
