AC Milan boss Pioli hails Chukwueze after performance against Fiorentina

AC Milan coach, Stefano Pioli has heaped praises on Samuel Chukwueze for finding his rhythm after coming back from injury in a 1-0 victory over Fiorentina.

The Nigeria winger was in action for the entire duration of the game as the Rossoneri limped over Fiorentina at the San Siro Stadium on Saturday.

The elated Pioli said he was impressed with Chukwueze impact in the club’s triumph, stressing that the Super Eagles playmaker will be more involved and direct with the team’s style in coming games.

“I was happy with his (Chukwueze) performance on Saturday,” Pioli was quoted by Complete Sports.

“He worked a lot for the team, he found himself in the right positions. He also had a difficult start due to an injury. Now in my opinion he’s fine.

“Maybe he’ll come in a little further in the pitch, more in the heart of the game, but it depends on how we play and the combinations with Calabria.”

Milan are third on the Serie A table with 26 points from 13 games and are six points adrift of league leaders and perennial city rivals, Inter Milan.

The Rossoneri will be up against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, November 28 before setting up a league meeting with Frosinone on Saturday, December 2.
