Ademola Lookman reveals reason for Atalanta switch

Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman has disclosed reasons behind his summer move to Serie A side, Atalanta.

Lookman joined the Nerazurri from RB Leipzig after another loan spell from English Premier League outft Leicester City and has being in fine form this campaign in the Italian topflight.

The 25-year-old has been firing on all cylinders for Atalanta scoring 12 goals and providing three in 20 league appearances for Gian Piero Gasperini’s men.

The Super Eagles attacker who had previously starred for Fulham, revealed his move to Serie A giants was as a result of his quest to score more goals.

“I joined Atalanta because they are a great team and score many goals,” Lookman told Italian news tabliod.

“I am happy here, I knew I could do great things.” he added.

The Nigerian forward will be eager to continue his fine form this weekend as Atalanta visits Stadio Olimpico for a duel against Lazio.
