AFCON 2023: Kelechi Iheanacho set to join Super Eagles in Ivory Coast

Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho is set to team up with the Nigeria national team in Ivory Coast ahead of the start of the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON).
Iheanacho is expected to join the Super Eagles camp on Friday, January 12 in Ivory Coast as he recovers from muscular injury which ruled him out of the team’s training camp in Abu Dhabi.
The Super Eagles arrived at Cote D’Ivoire on Wednesday amidst funfair from supporters club.
Iheanacho teammate at Leicester City, Wilfred Ndidi was also ruled out of the AFCON due to an injury sustained at club level.
Bayer Leverkusen enterprising forward, Victor Boniface saw his chance to appear at his first AFCON shattered by a late injury and OGC Nice forward, Terem Moffi was called up in his place.
The Super Eagles had a secret training late in the day after their arrival at Abidjan on Wednesday.
