AFCON 2023: Stay focus and work hard’ – Ogu warns Nwabali against complacency

Former Nigeria international, John Ogu has advised Super Eagles’ goalkeeping sensation, Stanley Nwabali to remain committed and focused despite his recent fine form at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Nwabali has produced been scintillating in his last two games for the Super Eagles drawing more praises from soccer loving Nigerians and favoured to start between the sticks ahead of team’s pre-tournament first choice Francis Uzoho.
The 26 caps Ogu for Nigeria joined others to commend the Chippa United’s goalkeeper just as he urged him to keep improving on his current form.
Ogu in a tweet on his X handle said: “Dear Nwabali, don’t let all this their shout get to you o! Stay focus and work hard. E get why. We wish him well,” Ogu said.
The former Enyimba shot stopper might be rested for the team’s last match against Guinea-Bissau as Nigeria looked to have sealed a place in the next round of the tournament.
