Agbor Ekoi: Aliyu Zubairu mourns tragic passing of Elkanemi Warriors’ goalkeeper

Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors, Aliyu Zubairu has expressed deepest sadness over the unfortunate and untimely death of their goalkeeper, Agbor Ekoi. 

The talented shot stopper was reported dead on Thursday haven involved in a ghastly car accident while traveling for a medical treatment. 

The 2024 WAFU-B U20 Cup winner described Ekoi’s death as unfortunate, stressing that he will be dearly missed by the club, families and relatives.

“Agbor’s death is an unfortunate one, he’s such a good goalkeeper and wonderful person with a lot of potential. It’s a huge loss for us as a club and to me as his coach,” Zubairu said. 

While sending his sincere condolences to his immediate family, Zubairu who also doubles as the Head Coach of the Flying Eagles prayed God to grant them a fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and also grant the deceased an eternal rest.
