Nigerian striker Akor Adams is expected to arrive in Italy to complete his medical and finalize a permanent transfer from Sevilla to newly promoted Serie A side Venezia on Tuesday.
The move comes after weeks of negotiations between both clubs, with Venezia successfully reaching an agreement with Sevilla for the forward’s transfer.
The deal is reportedly worth a guaranteed €16 million, with an additional €7 million in performance-related bonuses, taking the total package to around €23 million.
According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Adams will arrive in Italy on Tuesday before linking up with his new teammates at Venezia’s pre-season training camp in Falcade on Thursday.
Adams was notably left out of Sevilla’s squad for Sunday’s friendly against Cracovia in Poland, further fueling speculation over his imminent departure.
Once the transfer is completed, the Nigerian forward will rank among the most significant signings in Venezia’s recent history as the club prepares for its return to Serie A.
