Anam Imo scores and wins battle of Falcons against Okobi-Ekeoghene in Sweden

Anam Imo was on target as her Swedish Allsvenskan side, Pitea earned a 3-1 win over Ngozi Okobi-Ekeoghene’s Eskilstuna United on Saturday.
Pitea had lost its previous three league games to Linkopings FC (0-1), BK Hacken (3-1), and Vittsjo (1-2).
Anam Imo scored the first goal of the match for Pitea which set her side up for victory after she was set up by Swedish defender, Ronja Aronsson in the 44th minute.
In the second half, Katrina Guillou doubled Pitea’s lead in the 50th minute and ten minutes later, Anam Imo assisted Katrina Guillou to increase Pitea’s lead to 3-0 at the Tunavallen, Eskilstuna before Paulina Nystrom reduced the host’s deficit 18 minutes from time.
Anam Imo played for the duration of the game and received a yellow card in the 55th minute and she has scored five league goals with five assists this season for Pitea IF after 23 games.
35-year-old Faith Michael also saw 90 minutes of action for Pitea. Okobi-Ekeoghene was substituted for Lotta Okvist after 46 minutes of action for Eskilstuna United.
Pitea and Eskilstuna United both with 40 points after 26 games occupy the seventh ad eighth positions respectively on the log.
