Anambra Struggle Continues As Kada Rise To NBSL Summit

Former champions Kada BSC emerged as the biggest winners on Matchday Three of Round One in the 2026 Nigeria Beach Soccer League after recording two victories to climb to the top of the table.

The Kaduna-based side began the day with a commanding 7-1 win over Jigawa Golden Stars BSC in the morning fixture.

Tanko Emmanuel starred with a hat-trick, while Victor Tale, Kareem Ahmed and Dozie Frank also got on the scoresheet in an emphatic display. Rabiu Ali netted the consolation goal for Jigawa Golden Stars BSC.

Kada BSC returned later in the evening to edge three-time champions Kebbi Fishers BSC 3-2 in a closely contested encounter.

Dozie Frank led the charge with a brace, while Tanko Emmanuel added the other goal for the Kaduna side. Sadiqee Umar scored twice for Kebbi Fishers BSC, but his efforts were not enough to prevent his side from suffering their first defeat of the season.

Earlier in the day, Niger BSC secured their first win of the campaign with a 2-0 victory over Ibom BSC, thanks to a brace from Abdullahi Aliyu.

In the final game, a late strike from Isiya Atiku earned BAM Projects BSC a narrow 1-0 win over defending champions Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors.

At the end of Round One, Kada BSC sit top of the table with 10 points from four matches, having played one game more than the other teams.

They are six points clear of second-placed Kebbi Fishers BSC and BAM Projects BSC, who both have four points, although Kebbi Fishers occupy second spot on superior goals scored.

Jigawa Golden Stars BSC, Ibom BSC and Niger BSC all have three points each, while defending champions Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors remain without a point after three matches.

Round Two of the league will take place in Kaduna in April.
