Andile Dlamini celebrates Chiamaka Nnadozie with heartfelt message

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

South Africa’s goalkeeper Andile Dlamini has penned a warm and emotional message to Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie following her latest achievement on the continental stage.

Nnadozie emerged as the 2025 CAF Women’s goalkeeper of the year for the third consecutive year in Morocco on Wednesday.

“Celebrating you is so easy because you are a great human being,” Dlamini wrote, praising the Super Falcons shot-stopper for her excellence both on and off the pitch.

“I am happy for you, not only because you won, but also because you are doing great in your club and country. Goalkeeping is really special, somehow an isolated position, but the spice we bring as modern goalkeepers makes it beautiful.”

Dlamini encouraged Nnadozie to keep inspiring the next generation: “Let’s continue to work hard and create more opportunities for more kids to want to be goalkeepers. I am seriously proud of you.”

She ended the message by highlighting their unique bond: “Competitors on the field and sisters off the field. Congratulations, superstar.”

The touching tribute reflects the mutual respect and camaraderie shared between Africa’s top goalkeepers, despite their intense rivalry on the pitch.
