Arsenal interested in Sterling, ‘closing in’ on Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal are interested in signing Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling should he become available this summer.

Sterling is entering the final year of his current deal and Arsenal have identified the England international according to The Telegraph.

With manager Mikel Arteta tied down to a new deal, the Gunners are set for a busy summer as they look to sign Youri Tielemans and Gabriel Jesus.

Arteta is looking for firepower to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the out-of-contract Alexandre Lacazette.

The 27-year-old is about to enter his final year under contract at the Etihad with Arsenal ready to pounce.

Arsenal are also closing in on the signing of Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus, reports The Sun.

The 25-year-old Brazilian has 141 goal involvements in 234 City appearances but could be allowed to depart the Etihad to avoid losing him on a free transfer with his contract set to expire in 2023.

His game is likely to also become limited with City set to complete the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland is understood to have already passed his medical, with an announcement on the transfer expected this week.
