Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi has acknowledged the need to increase his goal-scoring contributions for the team as they gear up for their Premier League encounter against Southampton on Sunday. The Super Eagles star graces the cover of the latest Arsenal magazine, featuring a comprehensive profile inside. In an interview with Arsenal’s official website, Iwobi expressed his desire to enhance his goal-scoring record, stating, “Goals win games, and I’ve had a few chances, but overall, I’m pleased with my performances. I would like to play a bit more, but I have to be patient as we have a lot of world-class players in the team.”
Iwobi also praised experienced teammate Theo Walcott for his motivational role within the squad, highlighting the valuable advice he receives. He emphasized the supportive team dynamics, noting, “Everyone is there for each other, the chemistry is there.”
Reflecting on key contributors to Arsenal’s attacking prowess, Iwobi underlined the impact of star players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. He described them as “incredible for us” and emphasized the team’s dependency on their goal-scoring abilities.
Iwobi also expressed collective joy for Jack Wilshere’s successful return to full fitness after overcoming a series of injuries. He commended Wilshere’s sharpness and noted the positive impact he brings to the team.
