Ashleigh Plumptre: Injured Nigeria defender promises to focus on speedy recovery

Nigeria defender Ashleigh Plumptre has assured Leicester City fans that she will be focusing on how to recover early from her latest injury setback in 2023.

The experienced English-born defender suffered hamstring injury in Leicester’s 1-0 away defeat to West Ham during the week. and the setback will see Plumptre missing out of actions will new year.

However, the Nigerian star has promised to comeback better just as she expressed appreciations to fans for their supports and best wishes.

“Minor injury but I’m fully focused on the return in the new year,” Plumptre wrote on her social media page.

“Thank you to the fans who continue to turn up, show up and support Words are words, I know, but the shared passion is there.”

Leicester City Women’s team are currently sitting bottom of Women Super League table with no point from nine games played so far.
