Asisat Oshoala likens Nigerian compatriot Victor Osimhen to Spanish football icon

Nigerian women football star, Asisat Oshoala has described his compatriot, Victor Osimhen as another Spanish legend, Rafael Moreno Arazandi widely known as ‘Pichichi’ in the making due to his goal scoring feats in Europe.
Osimhen has being in blistering form to Napoli this season scoring 19 league goals that is pushing Serie A leader closer to their first Scudetto in over two decades.
Osimhen who celebrated his last goal for Napoli in their 2-0 win at Empoli with an encouraging caption to his picture on social media on Saturday had Oshoala making a comment on the post as she called him ‘Pichichi’
Arazandi ‘Pichichi’ is a former Athletic Bilbao and LaLiga great who scored 83 goals in 89 matches and he was instrumental in Bilbao winning four of five domestic titles.
Pichichi was hailed as a hero in Spain for his goal scoring feats making Diario Marca, the organizers of league top scorers in Spanish LaLiga, Segunda and Femenina named the award after him.
Oshoala who has won African Football of the Year Award for a record four times was presented with the Pichichi Trophy for leading scorer in the 2021/22 Spanish topflight.
Osimhen looked certain to cart home the ‘Pichichi’ version of the award in the Italian Serie A at the end of the season as he currently sits top of the chart with 19 goals with closest challenger, Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez on 13 goals.
