Asisat Oshoala: Nigeria star celebrates first goal for Barcelona in Camp Nou

Dreams became reality as Nigeria striker Asisat Oshoala scored for her first time for Barcelona at Camp Nou.

The Super Falcons forward and five-time African player of the year award winner, hit twice as Barcelona zoomed past Rosengard 6-0 in their final group D encounter of the UEFA Women’s Champions League on Wednesday.

Oshoala scored her brace inside 16 minutes with her first in the 10th minute and the second coming six minutes later to give Barcelona the two-goal lead against the Swedish champions, who are without a win and finished bottom of the group.

The Nigeria international could not hide her happiness as she took to her social media platforms to celebrate one of her to do list being ticked after five years of arriving the city of Barcelona in 2019.

She has now reached her previous best goal tally (4) from 2021, in Barcelona’s UWCL title winning season.

The 28-year-old was recently awarded the Pichichi for scoring the most goals in the top-tier last season, 20, alongside Geyse Ferreira who was turning out for Madrid CFF.
