Asisat Oshoala set for Barcelona reunion

Reigning African Player of the Year and record holder, Asisat Oshoala is set to face her former club, Barcelona, in a highly anticipated friendly match.
The Super Falcons star who spent five years at Barcelona before moving to Bay FC in the NWSL will be eager to showcase her skills against her former teammates.
The Agba Baller had a stellar career with Barcelona, scoring 85 goals in 101 matches and is opportune with a reunion.
Also, since Joining the NWSL side, the six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year has become a household name, scoring Bay FC’s first-ever NWSL goal.
While announcing the friendly, Bay FC CEO, Brady Stewart, expressed excitement about the match, highlighting the opportunity it presents to showcase global talent and attract fans.
“Bay FC is building a global sports franchise grounded in the Bay Area. Both Bay FC and FC Barcelona are committed to growing women’s soccer here and abroad,” the club official said.

The friendly game is scheduled for Tuesday, August 27 at Bay FC’s new home ground, PayPal Park in San Jose.
