Atalanta’s Gian Gasperini expects Ademola Lookman back against Spezia

Atalanta manager, Gian Gasperini is confident Nigeria winger Ademola Lookman will be back soon to join his side in their quest to clinch Uefa Champions League qualification in the remaining Italian Serie A games this season.
Gasperini was without his Nigerian playmaker as they defeated Torino 2-1 to go two points of the Champions League spot after Lookman sustained an injury in their 2-0 home defeat to Bologna on April 8.
The 25-year-old has scored 13 goals in 28 league appearances for Atalanta, 15 in all competitions for the club this season and the manager revealed his wish Lookman availability for their last six matches of this season.
“I hope to get Lookman back as soon as possible, which can be another very important element for us in these last six games,” Gasperini.
Lookman was expected back for Saturday’s trip to Torino but he eventually missed the trip to Turin.
With 55 points from 32 games, Atalanta are still in the running for a place in the UEFA Champions League with just two points separating them from fourth-place Roma, who have 57 points.
