The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Department and former International, Augustine Eguavoen will continue his role as head coach of Nigeria senior men’s national team.

The NFF Executive Committee approved the recommendation of the Federation Technical and Development Sub-Committee for Eguavoen to remain in charge of the Super Eagles.

Eguavoen worked with assistants, Fidelis Ilechukwu, Daniel Ogunmodede, Olatunji Baruwa, and Tomaz Zorec during the team’s last two games.

The three-time African Champions defeated Benin Republic 3-0 and played out a 0-0 draw with Rwanda in their first two games of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers under the tutelage of Eguavoen.

Eguavoen and his assistants will also take charge of the home-based team ahead of next month’s Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) Qualifiers.
