Barcelona quartet attend Melendi concert before Aston Villa Champions League clash

Rodri Hernandez, Pedri Gonzalez, Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez attended Melendi’s concert at Palau Sant Jordi on Sunday evening, two days before Barcelona’s Champions League meeting with Aston Villa.

The concert began at 21:00 and formed part of Melendi’s “Pop Rock” tour, during which the Asturian singer is presenting songs from his new album, due to be released in the coming months.

The four Barcelona players watched the performance from one of the venue’s boxes and enjoyed Melendi’s best-known songs, according to Mundo Deportivo.

TVE journalist Albert Castillo was among those who filmed the players during the concert. He highlighted Rodri Hernandez as one of the most enthusiastic supporters in attendance.

Their appearance came after Barcelona’s 6-1 victory over Alaves on Saturday evening. The squad trained at the club’s training ground on Sunday morning, with the four players completing recovery work after starting that match.

Barcelona began preparations on Monday for their next European fixture against Aston Villa on Tuesday, 3 November 2026. The game will be the Catalan side’s fourth match in the Champions League.
