Bartholomew Ogbeche Shines with Scoring Streak Despite Willem ll Draw

Nigerian striker Bartholomew Ogbeche showcased his scoring prowess once again as he netted his seventh goal in six league games for Willem ll in a 1-1 home draw against NAC Breda in the Dutch Eredivisie on Friday. The 33-year-old forward, who featured for Nigeria in the 2002 World Cup, opened the scoring for Willem ll in the 43rd minute. Despite Thierry Ambrose leveling the score for NAC Breda in the 50th minute, Ogbeche’s consistent goal-scoring form has been a highlight for Willem ll this season.
The draw places Willem ll in the 14th position with 15 points, securing a four-point buffer above the relegation zone in the highly competitive 18-team league.
Meanwhile, in the Turkish top flight, Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong made a return to the Bursaspor lineup after missing the previous match due to injury. Unfortunately, Troost-Ekong’s defensive efforts were not enough to prevent Bursaspor from suffering a 1-0 defeat at home against Fenerbahce on Friday. The game marked Troost-Ekong’s 14th league appearance of the season, where he has contributed two goals. Bursaspor currently occupies the sixth position in the 18-team league table with 24 points.
