Bello Rukayat joins Bhutan side Thimphu WFC

Nigeria player, Bello Rukayat has joined Bhutan women’s league side, Thimphu WFC.

The former Sunshine Queens player switched to Thimphu WFC from Togolese side, Amis du Monde FC.

The lowly-rated women’s football team has decided to sign the Nigeria player in a bid to add more glamour, and flare, and raise the development of the game in the country.

Bello has played for five teams in Nigeria before moving to Togo, beginning from former league champions, Pelican Stars, Nasarawa Amazons, Adamawa Queens, Sunshine Queens, and lastly Taraba Queens.

Thimphu WFC is a professional football team based in Thimphu, Bhutan. The team was founded in 2016 and has since become one of the most successful women’s football teams in the country.

The team is known for its strong defense and quick counter-attacks, which have helped them win several matches and tournaments.
