Bendel Insurance beat Sporting Lagos in NPFL preseason

 Bendel Insurance continued to impress in their preseason games with a 1-0 win over Sporting Lagos, ahead of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Insurance pipped the Lagos-based side in the friendly game at the Western Boys High School Pitch on Thursday evening.

Monday Odigie-led team started the game with a high spirit with a squad consisting of fans’ favorite, Imade Osarenkhoe, Tanimu Benjamin, Sunday Anyawu, Kelly Kester, and eventual scorer Sarki Ismael.

Sarki headed home the winning in additional time to give Bendel Insurance the much-needed massive boost in the 90+3 minutes as they prepare for their continental campaign.

The Benin Arsenal will host the 2021/22 CAF Confederation Cup winners RS Berkane for a place in the group stage, on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
