Bendel Insurance unveils Player of the Season award contenders

Bendel Insurance have unveiled the club’s players of the season contenders following the conclusion of the Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The club had a remarkable season where they clinched the Federation Cup title after defeating Enugu Rangers 2-0 at the Stephen Keshi stadium, Asaba to qualify for the CAF Confederations Cup.

The voting of the award is scheduled to end on July 13 where the winner will be announced at the Bendel Insurance dinner and award night.

Amas Obasogie, Divine Nwachukwu, Imade Osarenkhoe, Ismail Sarki and Tanimu Benjamin are the four players contesting for Insurance prized award of the season.

The Benin Arsenal couldn’t live up to expectations they achieved in the regular season as they flopped in the NPL super six to finish in the fifth position.

The 51-year-old Nigerian club have a rich history and produced stars like Peter Odemwingie, Julius Aghahowa, Bright Omokaro, Olubayo Adefemi, Ambrose Vanzekin, and Elderson Echiejile.
