Brentford have completed the signing of highly rated forward Kaye Furo Tamuno Iyowuna from Belgian side Club Brugge for a reported fee of £8.7 million (€10 million).
The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year contract and will immediately link up with Keith Andrews’ first-team squad.
Furo is the son of former Nigeria international Iyenemi Furo, who represented the Super Eagles at the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, continuing a proud footballing lineage.
Since breaking into Club Brugge’s senior side, the teenager has made five league appearances, scoring one goal, and also featured in the UEFA Champions League, including an appearance against Arsenal.
Brentford manager Keith Andrews expressed his delight at securing the youngster’s signature.
“Kaye is a player we have monitored for some time, and we are thrilled to bring him to the club,” Andrews said.
“His qualities fit perfectly with the environment we’ve built, and I am confident he will become a key player for us.”
The move underscores Brentford’s continued focus on recruiting young, high-potential talents capable of developing into first-team regulars.
