CAF Awards 2023: Oshoala jets off to Marrakech for record-extending sixth gong

Barcelona star Asisat Oshoala has travelled to Marrakech, Morocco to attend the CAF Awards 2023 on Monday afternoon, NigeriaFootball can exclusively report.
In a video exclusively obtained shows that the Nigerian striker didn’t train with her Barcelona teammates at their training base in Nou Camp ahead of their Wednesday’s Women’s Champions League trip to Malmo for Rosengard.

Instead, Oshoala took a private flight from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport to Marrakech, Morocco, to be part of the prestigious award ceremony.
The 29-year-old is nominated for the Women’s Player of the Year alongside Zambia and Shanghai forward Barbra Banda and Racing Louisville and South Africa star Thembi Kgatlana.
The forward has won the award a record five times and is looking to become the first African to win the prestigious award for a record extending sixth.
Her triumph will also mean that a Nigerian have the prize a record-extending 13 times.
The CAF Awards 2023 will hold at Palais des Congrès, Movenpick, Marrakech, on Monday night.
